Mike Tlusty was named Head Groundskeeper in September 2011.  Tlusty certainly has plenty of experience taking care of a ballpark, having served as the lead groundskeeper at Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park, Ill.  He also spent time with Vans Enterprises, Ltd., a leading athletic field construction and renovation company.

Tlusty played baseball at St. Joseph High School before attending Northern Illinois University.  He currently resides in LaGrange with his wife, Mary Carol and is the proud father of four children: Jennifer, Ryan, Bradley, and Mitchel.

The Boomers 2012 season will be Tlusty’s first in professional baseball, and he is excited to be on board for the start of something great.
